Create an Account (Student)

Get ready to start an exciting adventure. Learning the skills you need for success at work and in life (whether now or in the future) has never been this easy and fun. Follow the steps below to create your new Typing.com student account and let the learning begin!

Pro-Tip 1: Children under the age of 13 are prohibited from creating their own accounts on this site. A parent or legal guardian needs to be the one creating the account for anyone under 13 years old. 

Pro-Tip 2: If your teacher rosters their classes from Google Classroom or Clever Library, you do not sign up here at all. Ask your teacher to add you to the class on their side first, then re-sync the class from the Classes page in their Teacher Portal.

If your teacher is syncing his/her classes via Clever or ClassLink, s/he needs to contact the school's IT administrator and have him/her add the student in Clever/ClassLink and then the need to wait for the account to re-sync (overnight)

Now, let’s get started.

Step 1: Go to the sign-up page here.

Step 2: Fill in a Username and a Password - both are required, and your username has to be one nobody else on Typing.com has taken. Email is optional, but worth adding: it is what lets you reset your own password later. Tick the box to say you are 13 or older and agree to the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, then click Sign Up.

Pro-Tip 3: You can skip the form and sign up with an account you already have. Above it, under Sign up with:, there are four buttons: Google, Microsoft, Clever and ClassLink.
