Print or Export a Report
Any report you open in Typing.com can go onto paper or into a spreadsheet. Print gives you a copy to take into a parent meeting; Export gives you a CSV file to open in Excel, Numbers or Google Sheets. Here is where both live and what you get from them.
Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal here.
Step 2: Click Reports in the left-hand menu, then click the report that holds the numbers you want.
Step 3: Set your filters before you do anything else, with Filter or with the dropdowns some reports carry in their header. Both controls act on the report exactly as it stands on screen, so the class, the students and the date range you have chosen are what ends up on the page or in the file.
Step 4: Look above the table, beside the record count, for (1) Print and (2) Export. On a report that offers a Graph / Table toggle, switch to Table and they are there.
Step 5: Print opens a printable copy of the table in a new tab and raises your browser's own print dialog, where you pick a printer as usual.
Step 6: Export downloads the same table as a CSV file named after the report, so a Standards Alignment export arrives as Standards-Alignment.csv. Its first row is the report's column headings and each row after it is one student, with values written out in the same words the report uses on screen.
Pro-Tip: The record count above the table is your check before you export. It tells you how many students the file will hold, so if the number looks wrong the filters are wrong.
That's it! Your report is now on paper or in a spreadsheet.
