Hide Specific Content and Lessons (Teacher)

Edited

Welcome to your guide on managing content visibility on Typing.com! Whether you want to focus your class on specific lessons or hide certain content, we've got the steps to make it easy. Let’s dive in and customize your students' learning experience!

Pro-Tip: these steps change the whole class. To do the same for one student, tick their name on the Students tab and open Student Settings, which has the same Lessons tab (PLUS only).

Pro-Tip: Ensure at least one lesson is selected. If all lessons are disabled, students will see a white screen with no content displayed.

Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal here.

Step 2: Click Classes in the left-hand menu, then open the class you want to change.

Step 3: Click Class Settings.

Step 4: Open the Lessons tab. Units are grouped the way your students see them - Learn to Type, Applied Typing, Beyond Typing, Computer Applications and Custom Lessons - and each one shows how many of its lessons are switched on, like Learn the Keys 1 (16 /17 Lessons Active).

Step 5: Tick a unit to switch it on, untick it to hide it, or use Make All Lessons Active at the top to turn everything on at once. To go finer, click View [n] Lessons on a unit and tick the lessons inside it one by one - a unit with only some of its lessons on shows a dash rather than a tick. Then click Save All Changes.

That's it! Your students will see exactly the units you left ticked. 😊
