Need to change the class curriculum? Follow these easy steps:
Pro-Tips:
This change will affect the entire class.
To change the curriculum for one student, tick their name on the Students tab and open Student Settings, which carries the same Curriculum dropdown (PLUS feature only).
Students in a class cannot change the curriculum themselves - your setting governs. A student whose account is not linked to a teacher sets their own, as below.
Step 1: Log in to your Teacher Portal here.
Step 2: Click Classes in the left-hand menu, then open the class you want to change.
Step 3: Click Class Settings.
Step 4: On the Details tab, pick the one you want from the Curriculum dropdown. It offers every grade from Kindergarten to 12th Grade, plus Adult Learner, Spanish and Portuguese curricula, and the older Typing.com and grade-level legacy courses. To see what a curriculum covers before you switch to it, use The Curriculum Page: Previewing Lessons Before You Assign.
Step 5: Click Save All Changes.
Students
If your account is not linked to a teacher, you set your own curriculum. Click the grade button in the top menu - it shows the one you are on now - and Select a Curriculum opens. Pick any Grade-level Curriculum from Kindergarten to 12th Grade, or Adult Learner; under Other Curriculums there are also Typing.com Legacy, Español and Português. Then click Update Curriculum.
That's it! Now you know how to set the curriculum that fits your students. 😊
