Set Up a Teacher/Home School Account

Edited

Hello, fantastic educators! Setting up a teacher or home school account on Typing.com is a breeze. Follow these simple steps to get started and have your students typing away in no time:

  1. Create a Teacher Account: Start here. The first question is What is your role in education? - choose (1) Teacher if you manage your own classroom, or (2) Homeschool Parent if you teach your children at home. Either one gives you the same kind of account, so the rest of this guide applies to both.

  2. Add Students: Next, add your students to your account. This process will also create individual student accounts for them. There are four ways to do it - see How to Know the Best Way to Add Students.

  3. Student Login: Have your students go to typing.com/student/login and log in with the usernames and passwords you created for them.

If you signed up through Google, Microsoft, Clever or ClassLink, there is a short video for your setup: Google Classroom, Microsoft, Clever and ClassLink. You can also open them in the Teacher Portal from Watch Tutorial on the dashboard.

That’s it! You’re all set to start teaching and helping your students develop their typing skills. If you have any questions or need further help, our support team is always here for you at support@typing.com. Happy typing!
