How to Add Existing Students to My Account? (Teacher)

Adding students with existing accounts to your class is a breeze! Follow these simple steps to get your students on board quickly.

The quickest way is the Student Self-Join Link. Open the class, click Class Join Code in the top right to copy it, and share it. A student who already has an account picks Use My Existing Typing.com Account; a student who does not can create one as they join. One exception: if your classes are rostered through Google Classroom, Clever, Microsoft Teams or ClassLink, there is no self-join link to share: the Self-Join Settings panel in Class Settings carries a notice pointing you back to that platform. Add the student there and let the roster sync.
