A Classroom account is a single-teacher account: a class on it has no Teachers tab, so there is no way to add another teacher to it. That tab appears on School and District accounts. Converting is free and keeps your classes, students and data: on My Account Settings click Change to School or District Account.
Standard Username and Password
Step 1: Go to https://teachers.typing.com/signup. The first screen asks What is your role in education? - choose Teacher.
Step 2: Create your classes and add your students - see Create a New Class (Teacher) and How to Know the Best Way to Add Students.
Step 3: Ask your students to go to https://www.typing.com/student/login and log in with their username and password. As soon as they do, a license is assigned to them and their accounts become PLUS, ad-free accounts.
Clever (District Level)
* Do not create a Typing.com account in the Teacher Portal. Ask your school's IT administrator to add the students in Clever instead, and wait for the account to sync overnight.
Step 1: Set the classes and students up on the Clever side, choose the Typing.com application and share the data with us. Clever FAQs and Sync With Clever (Teacher/Admin) have the detail.
Step 2: Students log in by going to their Clever account and clicking the Typing.com app.
Clever Library Sync
* Do not create a Typing.com account in the Teacher Portal.
Step 1: Follow Clever's own instructions.
Step 2: Your students log in through Clever, exactly as they do for a district Clever integration.
